About the project
Web application through which patients book an examination on their own, choosing private or SSN care, and receive a confirmed appointment. Availability and confirmation stay with the management system the centre already uses, so no second diary exists.
The Node.js and Express backend holds each slot as a pre-booking with an expiry, checks it remotely before confirming, recalculates prices and merges duplicate examinations, while a dedicated module reconciles local and remote copies. PostgreSQL holds the application's own data, SQL Server the integration, and the front end installs as a PWA.
Underneath it is a platform rather than a site: a shared PostgreSQL register holds centres, users and configuration, while every centre gets a SQL Server database of its own, created on demand from a 5,587-line template by an endpoint in the administration dashboard. A centre is provisioned at run time, not installed.
